About Us

In 1985 the Zurns took steps to follow Ted and Wendy's long-term goal of starting their own plumbing business. They opened with a single truck and taking calls out of their home office. The business has grown to employ 16 people including the Zurns son Matthew and daughter Lisa.

Ted is a third generation master plumber and managed a full service plumbing company for 10 years prior to starting Zurn Plumbing. He attended Penn State University and served in the military during the Vietnam War. Ted has served on the board of directors for the Plumbing Mechanical Association for many years and recently completed a two-year term as their president.

Matt Zurn is the general manager at Zurn Plumbing. He has a degree in Business Management and also holds a master plumbers license for the state of Georgia.

Training

Our technicians must complete an 18-month certification course through the National Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors Association for service and repair work. In addition to on the job training, we have weekly classes in-house on new products and skills.

"Our Technicians are our employees and are not subcontractors. In the hiring process, we do a background check and drug and alcohol screening. Our technicians wear uniforms and drive marked vehicles. We carry worker's compensation and general liability insurance," Robert Zurn.

Pricing

We charge a nominal site visit for each service call. The technician can then diagnosis the problem and quote a price from our published menu-pricing guide.
