Can something that tastes this good be good for you? Well, salmon is good for the heart and the brain. The taste buds ain’t complaining either. Happy grilling!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets

Instructions

  1. Whisk together all the ingredients except for the fish in a bowl, and pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add the salmon fillets, turning to coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, turning occasionally.
  2. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil the grate. Remove the salmon from the marinade, and shake off excess. Discard the remaining marinade.
  3. Grill the salmon on the preheated grill until browned and the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 4-5 minutes on each side.  This can also be cooked in a 400-degree oven for 8-10 minutes depending on the thickness of your salmon.
