Spice Dough M&M Cookies
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
3 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
¾ c. margarine (or buttered shortening)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. M&Ms (only use the red and pink ones for Valentine’s Day cookies)
1 can vanilla frosting
2-1/4 c. flour
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine all ingredients but flow, M&Ms, and frosting. Combine in larger mixer bowl. Gradually add flour to the cookie mixture until a still dough forms. Scoop into cookies. Use thumb to press each cookie in the middle before putting in the oven. Bake for 8-10 minutes. When cooled, put frosting in the thumbprint of each cookie and place one pink or red M&M on the frosting.
